Taphophilia.com.au grew from our love of family history/research and our frequent visits to the cemetery. Any cemetery will do, as we have often just called into a cemetery as we are driving down the road.

The excitement of finding one of our families headstones is even more exciting but just to wander around a cemetery and reading the headstones. Admiring the thought that has gone into writing the epitaphs is a relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon or any other free time.

So many of our own families forever have a puzzled look when we say we are "just going to dig up a few old rels!" when we head for another cemetery.
